Explore the listings on the Snowflake Marketplace and try out paid listings before you purchase them. If you don’t see listings or providers that you want to see, you can request new data or providers on the Snowflake Marketplace.
Before you can get or purchase a listing, you must become a Snowflake consumer of listings. See Becoming a Consumer of Listings.

Using Data Dictionaries to Preview the Contents of a Listing¶
Data dictionaries allow you to preview the contents of a free or paid Marketplace listing before installing it in your account. A data dictionary displays the tables, views, and functions within a listing.
There are two ways you can view the contents of a listing as a consumer:
Featured objects: allow you to view the most important objects within the listing. Featured objects are selected by the listing provider.
All objects: allow you to view all of the objects within a listing.
To view the contents of a listing, do the following:
Sign in to Snowsight.
In the left navigation bar, click Marketplace.
Search for the listing, then select it.
Review the items that appear under Data Dictionary.
To view the contents of a featured object, select the object’s name.
To view all of the objects within a listing, click View all objects. When viewing all objects you can browse through the contents of a listing or search for specific items.
Trialing a Paid Listing¶
You can trial a paid listing to explore the data available in the listing.
You must use the ACCOUNTADMIN role or a custom role with the CREATE DATABASE and IMPORT SHARE privileges to trial a paid listing.
Sign into Snowsight.
Select Data » Marketplace.
The pricing status of each data listing is indicated on the listing: Free, Paid, or Purchased. To view only paid listings, select the All Pricing list in the upper-right corner of the page, and choose Paid.
Select a paid data listing. The listing description page opens and you can read about the listing.
Select Get Free Sample. You can read the description of the free sample (trial) data available in the listing.
Enter your preferred name for the database created from the dataset in the listing.
Select Get Data.
If you want to query the data in the listing, select Open to open a Snowsight worksheet with example SQL queries for the listing’s dataset. Otherwise, select Done.
About Trialing Listings¶
When you trial a listing, you might have indefinite access to a limited set of data, time-limited access to all of the data in the listing, or time-limited access to a limited set of data.
You are not charged for the listing when your trial ends. You are only charged if you choose to purchase the listing.
Using the data in a listing that you’re trialing works similarly to a free listing:
The database that you create when trialing a paid listing is similar to other databases that you create from listings.
An account administrator, the role that created the database (if different than the account admin), or any role with the global MANAGE GRANTS privilege can grant other roles access to the database and database objects (e.g. tables, views).
Querying data while you trial a listing incurs compute charges in your Snowflake account, but you do not incur any charges for the listing.
If the listing provides access to a limited set of data, and you attempt to query data in the database that is accessible only to paying consumers of the listing, you see an error.
When your time-limited trial ends, or when you have finished exploring the limited trial data, decide what to do with the listing:
If you decide to purchase the data in the listing, see Accessing and Installing Listings as a Consumer.
If you don’t want to purchase the data, an account administrator can drop the database created from your trial.
If you want to continue trialing the data but the time period of a time-limited trial has expired, other accounts in your organization can start a new trial of the listing.
Requesting New Data or Providers¶
If you explore the Snowflake Marketplace and don’t see data or providers that you want to see, you can request new data products or providers.
To request new data products within Snowflake, do the following:
Sign into Snowsight.
Select Data » Marketplace.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Select Let us know to access the Snowflake Marketplace Request New Products form.
You can also access the Snowflake Marketplace Request New Products form directly on the Snowflake website.
If you decide you want to become a data provider yourself, see Becoming a Provider of Listings.
