Sign up: Not a Snowflake customer

If you’re not a Snowflake customer or you are using a Snowflake free trial account, this topic provides instructions for signing up for Polaris Catalog™.

To sign up for Polaris Catalog, do the following:

  1. Go to the Polaris Catalog self-service form.

  2. From the Account creation dialog, complete the fields:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Company email

    • Company name

    • Role

    • Country

  3. Select Continue.

  4. Select the cloud provider and region for your Polaris Catalog account.

    Note

    • As a best practice, choose a cloud platform with a supported cloud region that is closest to where your users are located and choose that region. Choosing this cloud platform and region can provide better performance and can also reduce latency and egress charges.

    • Only the Standard edition is supported.

  5. Read the Snowflake Self Service on Demand Terms and then select the Polaris Catalog Terms checkbox to agree to them.

  6. Select GET STARTED.

  7. Complete the reCAPTCHA test and select VERIFY. An email with the subject “Activate your Polaris account” is sent to your email account.

  8. Open the activation email and select CLICK TO ACTIVATE. A Welcome to Polaris web page opens.

  9. From the Welcome to Polaris page, complete the Username, Password, and Confirm password fields.

  10. Select Get started. The Polaris Catalog web interface opens and a “Welcome to Polaris!” email is sent to your email account.

  11. Open the “Welcome to Polaris!” email and note of your username and bookmark your Polaris Catalog Dedicated Login URL.
